The General Ledger Operations and Expense Management staff position is responsible for correctly recording and reconciling compensation, legal, audit and other expenses and accruals on a monthly basis. This position is responsible for allocating expenses to appropriate legal entities, segments and cost centers on a monthly basis. Additionally, this position is responsible for accounting for fixed assets, assisting with functional and segment reporting requirements, backing up certain cash reconciliation processes, and for maintaining the relationship with the AIG Inc. corporate accounts payable team, assisting, when necessary, with the resolution of AP-related issues. The best candidates are detail oriented, accounting literate and have translatable prior work experience.

Experience with recording and reconciling accruals a plus
Experience with Accounts Payable a plus
Proficiency in Excel
Experience with Oracle a plus
BA (or equivalent), Accounting
Strong understanding of accounting (CPA a plus)
