Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned by the Controller.
Responsibilities:
Month-End close procedures, journal entries, account reconciliation, analysis
Assist with maintenance of balance sheet and income statement accounts
Assist with year-end close activities, including providing documentation and support to external auditors
Provide support and documentation for interim bank audits
Analyze key financial data, trends, costs, revenues and financial commitments and obligations
Assist the Controller in daily treasury responsibilities
Review completed journal entries and provide suggestions for corrections in order to ensure the integrity of the G/L
Maintain internal controls and procedures
Identify potential process improvements related to overall accounting responsibilities including but not limited to the consolidation and allocation close process
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as requested by management
Job
Qualifications:
2
years of full-cycle accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA a plus
Willingness to put in the hours to succeed on a high level
Strong GAAP technical knowledge and experience
Proven leadership and commitment to continuous improvement
Self-motivated
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
JD Edwards experience a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
