Regulatory Compliance Specialist role in Wilton, CT 06897!

W2 Contract - 5+ months possible extension
Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm
SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with business line to resolve compliance issues and discuss findings with compliance staff and management through development of alternatives for resolution.
Provide limited advice and counsel to business lines, as directed by management with moderate need for direct supervision.
Conduct testing of compliance performance with the bank and prepares written reports of findings. Communicate with appropriate levels of management.
Compily compliance analyses and recommendations for presentation and review by compliance management.
Explain clearly and concisely findings and recommendations to management to secure approval for changes.
Train Bank staff on various components of the corporate compliance programs, processes, and procedures; may provide guidance/assistance to other team members and business partners.
May assist in review of training modules developed by the department.
Assist with preparation and review of materials gathered for regulatory exams/audits.
Assist in the assessment of overall Compliance risk in assigned business lines or areas of responsibility.
Participate in various meetings to provide compliance guidance as directed.
Acts as broad resource to both the Compliance department and business unit(s).Works under general direction of management.
MUST HAVE:
In depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and research skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to clearly provide written reports that summarize issues and present solutions
Ability to analyze complex laws and regulations and relate those laws to operational procedures
Ability to communicate effectively
Proven experience in project coordination and ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills and basic mathematical ability to deliver actionable recommendations from analysis (understand and test disclosures as well as ability to use PC or other equipment to verify data and calculations)
Travel required; some limited overnight travel
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
3 years Project Coordination
3 years Regulatory Experience
Knowledge of online course development tools
EDUCATION:
‚€Ę Bachelor's degree
‚€Ę 3-5 Years of related experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
